Are you looking for a custom Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system that will protect your critical assets against voltage transients, voltage instability, blackouts, brownouts, electrical noise, frequency deviation and more?
AMETEK Solidstate Controls has been designing and manufacturing true on-line double conversion UPS systems that provide continuous, clean and regulated power for critical AC loads for 60 years. We specialize in systems for the process control and industrial applications, including but not limited to petrochemical, pipeline and transmission, nuclear and renewable markets.
We offer a variety of designs so that we can best meet your facility’s needs:
- Our Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) systems incorporate high power IGBT semiconductors and offer a digital circuit design for enhanced life, higher efficiency and trouble-free diagnostics. They are available in both single and three phase, as well as with the option of CE Marking and compatible with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Tight on space? The single phase PWM system is also available in a compact, slimmer cabinet option that can save 8 inches in width and 8.5 inches in depth. This design was developed with off-shore platform and space-sensitive applications in mind.
- Ferroresonant (ferro) systems combine the best of both worlds with the reliability and robust design of a ferro system, and the digital control and communications typically found only in PWM products. All our copper transformers are custom built at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
- The Nuclear Digital ProcessPower UPS system is 1E qualified having been developed and tested within an NRC inspected 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Digital Quality Assurance program and offers a 40-year qualified design life. Enhanced safety features include increased cyber security for software integrity, user-interface, seismic bracing and employment of electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression.
We are proud to be the only manufacturer that offers both PWM and ferro technology. If you’d like to learn more about our systems or talk to an expert about their differences, contact us.
