The base products and services we provide for our industries, although similar to each other, are quite frequently customized for a particular market or customer. For example, the pulp and paper industry often requires a higher degree of anti-corrosion protection on electrical connections than other markets. Petrochemical applications generally are more safety conscious than some other types of applications because of the potentially disastrous consequences of a power outage. A remote location, such as a pipeline, may require a battery with several hours of backup time, rather than a typical 30 or 60 minute battery. Nuclear (1E qualified) applications require units that are environmentally and seismically tested to meet the exact requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
