Did you know we build our transformers in-house? No, not the robots! But our transformers are heroes in their own way by being at the heart of our systems and ensuring continuity of electrical power. Our custom transformer design promotes longevity and durability of our systems. Each transformer we build is designed to fit your individual system needs and is just one of many reasons why we’re a leader in transformer production.

Industry Leaders

Our transformers are in a league of their own thanks to our innovative design and manufacturing. Let’s take a closer look at what sets us apart.

  1. First, we manually wind insulated copper wire to ensure the highest possible quality in our transformers. The copper wiring prolongs the lifespan of the transformer by keeping the unit at lower temperatures and assists in reducing the overall size of the unit.
  2. All iron core laminations in our transformers are cut on site into E and I shapes and are meticulously counted and stacked by hand in each transformer. This allows our transformers to be among some of the quietest in the industry by reducing vibration. Both our Regulating Transformer and Ferroresonant Regulating Transformer produce less than 75 dBA.
  3. To ensure further quality control, each transformer is thoroughly tested before vacuum impregnation (VPI) to seal it. The entire VPI process also takes place in our facility and is yet another benefit to our manufacturing process that doesn’t require any third-party assistance.
  4. During VPI we utilize our proprietary specification varnish, which helps increase the thermal stability and contributes to the reduction of audible noise.
  5. We proudly manufacture every transformer in our Columbus, Ohio, USA facility and have been for over 40 years!
