The
Battery Maintenance & Inspection Program from Solidstate Controls,
Inc. includes battery inspection, periodic maintenance, removal, and
replacement of batteries. All work is done in accordance with applicable
IEEE standards, and battery manufacturers' requirements. Inspections
are performed monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Battery load testing is also an essential part of battery maintenance.
Periodic load testing is a very valuable tool in determining the
overall health and state of the battery. A controlled load test
can be performed to accurately determine the battery's condition,
while at the same time insuring that the critical load is not dropped,
by performing the discharge test during a planned shutdown. The
value in doing a discharge test, inspection, maintenance and/or
battery monitoring, is to gather critical data on the state of the
battery system and take remedial action, if necessary, before a
power outage when the battery is needed and most likely to fail.
SERVICE FEATURES
- Acceptance testing of new battery systems
- Site survey to determine if proper ventilation and temperature
is being maintained in the battery room
