1. IntelliSine
Quality Engineer
General:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible
to oversee the quality and technical aspects of supplier performance,
product manufacturing, testing, logistics, installation, troubleshooting
and servicing for our products manufactured by a joint venture between
a national corporation and multi-national corporations. Working out of
the candidate's home, the successful candidate will travel between the
product manufacturing facility, product and parts warehouse locations
in Thane, and various installation locations in Asia. The position requires
several weeks of training (possibly 2 months) in the United States. This
position will require working outside the normal business hours and across
multiple time zones. The position affords generous growth potential for
a candidate who successfully negotiates the duties.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a self-starting, energetic Quality
Engineering professional with 5 - 10 years of experience working in an
electronic manufacturing and service organization. The candidate must
have a working knowledge of quality programs and practices and possess
versatile electronic, technical, quality and problem solving aptitudes.
The candidate should be able to monitor supplier quality, perform manufacturing
oversight, understand testing methodology, perform service in the field,
administer a moderate spare and service parts inventory and control logistical
activities.
Experience:
The Quality Engineer will have 5 to 10 years
of experience working in power distribution electronic manufacturing and/or
similarly related service organization. Office management and business
acumen is a plus.
Education:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized,
fully accredited program is required with 5 - 10 years experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include product acceptance and final release of manufactured
product from a subcontracted manufacturer, overseeing transport of products,
including aftermarket products, to and from a storage warehouse facility
and to multinational client locations in Asia, and the ability to troubleshoot
and service installed products. The position will report to the Director
of Quality in the United States. This position offers excellent growth

2. Assistant Product Manager
General:
The Assistant Product Manager will have responsibility for the comprehensive
economic success of a product or combination of products. The position
is expected to drive all aspects of a product's makeup including technology,
positioning, cost, price, channel strategy, promotional campaigns, and
customer response tactics. The Assistant Product Manager will be responsible
to be cognizant, on a global basis, of the competitive dynamics and opportunities
related to his / her assigned product. Also, the Assistant Product Manager
is expected to be mindful of opportunities to expand via market adjacencies.
The Assistant Product Manager will develop
and implement launch plans for new products. He/she is expected to lead
the field sales teams into markets and applications that are aligned with
sales and profit requirements for the product(s). The Assistant Product
Manager will research and synthesize data such that the (potential) top
customers for his / her product(s) are well understood. He/she will follow
industry announcements and direct the sales teams towards upcoming projects
and opportunities.
Equally important will be the Assistant
Product Manager's role in nurturing / maximizing return on existing /
legacy products. Lifecycle management is a key aspect of the responsibilities.
Many products contribute significant margins as they traverse the legacy
phase of existence. The Assistant Product Manager is expected to develop
and implement new marketing and channel strategies for legacy products
so long as economically attractive options exist.
Qualifications:
The Assistant Product Manager must possess both technological and business
skills. This key person must be capable of formulating product & service
strategies that align technologies to create offerings that generate profitable
revenue growth. High intellect, an inquisitive personality and the ability
to synthesize multiple data points into conclusive directions are essential
qualifications of the Assistant Product Manager.
Experience:
The Assistant Product Manager must have a technology background that includes
significant customer interaction. Minimum of 2-5 Years experience as a
design engineer, applications engineer, and/or sales engineer would typically
provide such a background.
Education:
B.S.E.E. from a recognized, fully accredited program is required with
a MBA is necessary.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Assistant Product Manager is specifically responsible and accountable
for activities in the areas of:
" Market Intelligence
" Technology Roadmap and Strategy
" Product Roadmap which includes creating a five year roadmap including
strategic new product development, product lifecycle management plans,
and detailed product specifications for all new development activities.
" Contribute to the Business Unit's acquisition/alliance funnel using,
"watch, cultivate, negotiate, and integrate" classifications
" Tactical Marketing which includes:
Developing and implementing new product & services launch plans
Coordinating marketing communications activities with shared corporate
services
Responsible for quality and accuracy of all product data sheets, brochures,
manuals and other collateral
Coordinating demonstration unit design, development and deployment
Coordinating web-site activities
Coordinating all web based marcom activities, search engine relationships,
links with strategic partners, channel partners, and other AMETEK companies
3. Market Segment Manager
General:
The Market Segment Manager will
be responsible for developing and executing marketing programs, developing
products and tools that can be used to assist field sales in selling products
and services to owners/operators, Architectural & Engineering firms,
contractors and design firms. This position will also be the focal point
between the client/customer, engineering, advanced development and research
& development. This position shall act as a knowledge center for this
specific market segment.
The Market Segment Manager will have the
potential to analyze and provide direction for systems, projects and programs
in his/her market segment, contribute to the company and the industry
by advancing the level of knowledge within that discipline, and provide
cross-functional guidance and expertise.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following
qualifications: strong technical/math skills, strong problem solving skills,
ability to translate data into an understandable format for the sales
of products, knowledge of current and developing market trends in his/her
segment, understanding of macroeconomic concepts and the ability to use
them to develop strategic and tactical business plans, proven functional
manager, ability to work independently, ability to work across departments/functions,
proven communication skills (both oral and written) and strong presentation
skills. Must be willing to travel up to 50% of time.
Experience:
The Market Segment Manager must have 3-5 years in UPS or related experience,
and knowledge of marketing, strategies, processes and available resources.
Education:
Candidate must also possess BS in Electrical
Engineering (a minor is business is preferred), An MBA would be a plus.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Specialty Chemical Market Segment Manager
shall be a champion of his/her market segment and shall have the following
responsibilities (50% travel (minimum) is expected for this position):
" Understand the Macro-economic drivers for the specific
market segment
" Develop Opportunity map and growth areas geographically
" Interact with key segment players including end users and A&Es.
" Product management for the specific market segment
" Gather and analyze VOC and develop market specs for product development
" Gather competitive information, develop Head to Head comparisons
and formulate counter-strategies
" Works as a team with sales personnel to ensure specific segment
success globally.
" Act as a coordinator between various inter-department activities
4. Latin American
Sales Manager Position Specification
General:
The Latin American Sales Manager
will be responsible to oversee the leadership and direction of the AMETEK
HDR's sales efforts in Mexico and Latin America. This position will work
with the Business Manager to develop growth strategies for the selected
international markets and will be responsible for the implementation of
these strategies. The Latin American Sales Manager will be based in the
US, but will travel to Mexico and Latin America.
Qualifications:
The Latin American Sales Manager must possess both
technological and business skills. The ability to communicate with engineering
as well as business partners is required. This key member must be capable
of formulating sales & service strategies that generate profitable
revenue growth. High intellect, an inquisitive personality, and desire
to meet and work with people of different business backgrounds are essential
qualifications. The ability and desire to travel along with the ability
to meet strict deadlines are required attributes. Excellent communications
skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish are required.
Experience:
The Latin American Sales Manager must have a technology
centric background that includes significant customer interaction and
a minimum of 5 years experience developing sales and marketing strategy
and will have a proven track record of working with and developing manufacturer
representative based channels. Prior experience selling custom electronic
controls into Mexican and/or Latin America markets preferred. Professionals
who have successfully created sustainable competitive advantage by tuning
channel strategies and attaining high individual performance will be considered
most favorably.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from
an accredited four year college or university, MBA preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing business plans
for penetration of attractive new markets (geographic and segments) and
set priorities for maximum return on investment. Develop and maintain
relationships with customers and field sales organization. Develop, maintain
and report monthly sales metrics to determine performance levels and areas
for improvement. Direct marketing communications activities for territory
including web site, collateral material and presentations. Provide leadership,
direction, and support for territory customer communications and order
management. Provide market and customer feedback and communication throughout
all levels of the organization.
5. Accounting Internship
General:
We are looking to hire a self-starting, motivated
student. This position reports to the Division VP/Controller.
In this role, you will be exposed to a broad range of industries and geography's.

" Assist in month/quarter end closing activities, including completion
of journal entries and preparation of financial reports
" Assist in monthly account analysis and inter-company reconciliation

6. Logistics - Supply Chain Intern
General
We are looking to hire a self-starting, motivated student. This position
reports to the Manager of Audit Services. In this role, you will be exposed
to a broad range of industries and geography's. If you are interested
in starting a career in an internal audit department where you will be
exposed to core manufacturing practices in a global organization, then
this position may be for you!
Responsibilities
Develop sourcing strategies and lead supplier selection process
Actively pursue methods that will reduce the lead-time for "critical
path" materials with no extra risk or expense to AMETEK. This person
also has the responsibility to keep the E&O (excess & obsolete)
inventory low and under control.
Analyze purchased components requirements
Prepare RFQ's, negotiate with suppliers, and initiate purchase orders
Review open orders and initiate action as relative to changes in demand
and inventory position.
Monitor suppliers performance against company quality and delivery goals
Develop and manage long term agreements with suppliers that are providing
a strategic advantage
Lead activities required in make Vs buy decision for new or current production
components
Identify and develop opportunities for cost reduction utilizing alternative
sourcing (including international sourcing), negotiation, supplier consolidation,
etc. to maintain and achieve company wide goals and metrics.
Monitor market and supplier trends for opportunities and risk
Provide support to resolve supply issues including expedited deliveries,
payables and rejected material matters.
Interface internally with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
Teams as required.

8. Field Engineer - East Coast
General
Responsibilities include start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and
repair services of Ferro resonant and PWM power inverters, phase controlled
rectifiers, phase conditioners and voltage regulators, static transfer
switches, and large storage batteries.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology
or Military equivalence and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar
field with a preference for previous experience testing, installing, and
maintaining DC power systems and large stationary batteries in Uninterrupted
Power Systems from 24VDC to 600VDC.
Must be willing to travel and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Must have effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Need to multitask, and be capable of managing complex projects.
Strong AC/DC Power electronics and application skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial.
Position requires travel, on-call status, strong AC/DC power electronics
and customer skills
